This resource will be helpful for anyone wanting to check the quality of a service including CQC, other independent assessors, families and carers or for any organisation preparing for an inspection. It is an observational checklist of things you should see and hear in services providing positive behavioural support (including hospitals/assessment and treatment units, residential care homes and colleges and in domiciliary support services).
It is based on the underlying assumption that what you observe will be an indicator of both good practices and good processes, of successful training and good leadership. The key themes within this resource all contribute to the implementation of Positive Behavioural Support, as well as being important in their own right.
